Grade 5/6
During this Semester the grade 5/6 students have been exploring the techniques needed to draw a portrait.They have explored various styles of artwork and have combined the realistic style of Leonardo da Vinci and the Post Impressionist style of Vincent Van Goth to p
aint their own portrait.
Grade 3/4
This Semester the students have been investigating various printing techniques. They have created relief prints and their own crazy faces. Then using a stencil print they have designed fruit and vegetables and used these in a still life composition.
Grade 1/2
During this Semester students have created their own butterfly collage. They created a background using the staffito technique and scratched flowers and leaves into this. Then they experimented with colour mixing and food dye to design a butterfly.
Grade Prep
This Semester students have created their own bee on a flower. After observing Vincent Van Goth's Sunflower painting students created a background. They began with a balloon printing to create a sky and then painted over torn paper for the flower. Tjhey used coloured stockings and fillings to make a busy bee and used dried leaves for the wings.
