Camping
Watsonia Heights Primary School has a camping program running from Prep to Grade 6.
- Prep’s enjoy a delightful breakfast at school, served by dressing gown clad teachers.
- Grade One’s are invited to Watsonia Heights ‘Italian Restaurant’, for a yummy pizza dinner.
- Grade Two’s spend the night at Watsonia Heights ‘camping ground’, (also known as the G.P. Room).
- Grades Three and Four visit Phillip Island and Camp Rumbug on alternate years. Visiting the penguins, museums and participating in ‘Beach Olympics’ at Phillip Island. Camp Rumbug provides many different activities including canoeing, obstacle courses, flying fox, etc.
- Grade Five’s jump on the bus and visit our capital city, spending an educational week visiting museums, the Australian Sport Institute (A.I.S.), Parliament House and other significant landmarks in Canberra.
- Grade Six pack their sleeping bags and walking boots and camp at Wilson’s Promontory. Getting to enjoy all Wilson’s Promontory has to offer.
