Specialist Programs

Art

At Watsonia Heights Primary School students are given opportunities to create their own 2D and 3D art works.

Through experimentation and practice students are encouraged to develop skills in manipulating art materials and tools in a range of art forms.

They are given time to explore techniques in:

·       Collage
·       Drawing
·       Painting
·       Print making
·       Modelling
·       Textiles

The school has its own kiln so all the students from Prep to Grade 6 have the opportunity to develop their skills in modelling and have their work fired. The artworks are on regular display throughout the school.

Physical Education lessons are run prep to year six and focus on physical activity, fitness, skills training, sportsmanship, games, rules and fun!
