Learning Areas

The school provides a balanced and comprehensive curriculum suited to the needs of its students. A curriculum which is relevant and engaging, allows students to develop responsibility for themselves.

The school has fully implemented the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) curriculum. Information on each area of the curriculum at Watsonia Heights is available in these sections. 

Four of the six levels within VELS correspond to primary school grades:

• Level 1 - Prep
• Level 2 - Grades 1 - 2
• Level 3 - Grades 3 - 4
• Level 4 - Grades 5 - 6
• Level 5 - Grades 7 - 8
